Skoda is having a moment in India, and we are excited about it. If you pay attention to the car market in India, you have probably seen that Skoda has been doing well over the past couple of years. It looks like 2026 is the year they will make some noise about it. They have a lot of cars coming out, and there is something for every kind of car buyer.

First, they are coming out with the Skoda Kylaq Sportline. The regular Kylaq was already a car. It was solid, had a good engine, and had decent features for the price. The Sportline is for people who want it to look a little tougher. Skoda listened to them. The Sportline has wheels, a dark grille, smoked taillights, and an all-black interior that looks serious. It is coming out around the quarter of 2026, and it will have the same reliable 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine with manual and automatic options, which can generate 113 HP and 178 NM Torque. Nothing new there. A sportier look for a car that already works well.

Next, they are coming out with the Slavia facelift. This car has been spotted on roads so many times that Skoda might as well have announced it already. The changes are not about the way it looks. The interior is being updated with materials that might have ADAS safety features, and it will have a new 8-speed automatic gearbox for the 1.0-litre TSI variant. If you have driven the Slavia on a busy city road, you know why that is a good thing. Both engine options, the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI, are staying. The driving experience will still be the same.
The company is also bringing back the Skoda Octavia RS, which is great news for people who want a performance car from the brand. They are also working on a diesel Superb, which makes sense for people who drive distances on the highway. They are updating the Kushaq lineup to keep it competitive.
The Skoda Epiq EV is set to become the brand’s most affordable electric SUV globally and could also make its way to India in the future. Built on Skoda’s modern Solid design philosophy, the compact EV combines a futuristic design with practical features and everyday usability. It is expected to be offered with 38.5 kWh and 55 kWh battery pack options, delivering a claimed driving range of up to 440 km. The Epiq will also support DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in around 24 minutes.
So 2026 is going to be a year for Skoda in India. Whether you want a compact SUV, a refined family sedan, or a performance car, Skoda seems to have something for you. We will be writing about each car as it comes out, so bookmark this page and check back soon!
