Honda Cars India has been on a roll lately, and enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for the next big update. The Honda City Facelift is finally on its way, and recent spy shots have revealed some exciting changes that could make it one of the most anticipated sedan launches of 2026. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming 2026 Honda City Facelift ahead of its official India launch.

Honda City Facelift: A Bold New Design

The most striking update on the Honda City is undoubtedly its front-end transformation. The sedan now sports redesigned LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, a completely refreshed grille, and Honda’s new H logo proudly placed on the bonnet. A sharper front bumper with angular inserts gives the City Facelift design a wider, more aggressive stance compared to the outgoing model. The side profile remains largely familiar, though updated alloy wheels add a fresh touch. At the rear, a revised tail lamp design and a new bumper are expected to complete the 2026 Honda City Facelift’s overhauled look.

Feature-Packed Interior

Step inside, and the Honda City Facelift promises a significantly upgraded cabin experience. Expect new upholstery, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and subtle layout revisions that modernise the overall feel. On the technology front, features are expected to include a 360-degree camera, a digital instrument cluster, and connected car functionality — bringing it firmly in line with segment expectations. Safety has not been overlooked either, with six standard airbags and a comprehensive ADAS suite including adaptive cruise control and auto high beam assist making the cut.

Honda City Facelift: Engine and Transmission Options

Under the hood, the Honda City Facelift engine is expected to carry forward the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit, producing 121 hp and 145 Nm of peak torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic. Importantly, the 2026 Honda City Facelift is also expected to retain the hybrid powertrain variant — a strong selling point for fuel-conscious buyers and a feature that sets it apart in the premium sedan segment.

Honda City Facelift Expected Price in India

While Honda is yet to officially announce the Facelift’s price in India, it is expected to carry a modest premium over the current model, which starts at around ₹12 Lakh (ex-showroom). Given the upgrades on offer, a starting price in the range of ₹13–14 Lakh (ex-showroom) seems likely, with the hybrid variant commanding a higher price point. Official pricing will be confirmed closer to the launch date.

Honda City Facelift vs Competitors

Once launched, the Honda City Facelift will go head-to-head with some strong rivals in the premium sedan segment — most notably the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus. While all three offer compelling packages, the City’s refined ride quality, expected hybrid option, and Honda’s strong service network continue to give it a distinct edge among sedan loyalists.
