Honda ZR-V SUV: Honda Cars India Ltd has just teased the ZR-V eHEV ahead of its official launch. It is Honda’s first-ever CBU model for the Indian market since the CR-V SUV was discontinued in 2020. This suggests that the Honda ZR-V will be positioned as an aspirational halo car rather than targeting massive sales volumes.

Because of its CBU (Completely Built Unit) status (presumably imported from Japan), the Honda ZR-V e HEV will command premium pricing, and early projections suggest around the Rs 45 lakh mark (Ex-sh). Let’s take a closer look at Honda’s new teaser for ZR-V eHEV.

According to reports, the Honda ZR-V SUV gets a sleek and sporty design language compared to Honda’s more upright SUVs. At the front, the Honda ZR-V features sharp LED headlamps along with stylish L-shaped LED DRLs. The teaser also reveals an illuminated Honda logo placed at the centre of the grille, giving the SUV a premium look.

The Honda ZR-V SUV is expected to come with a premium dual-tone cabin and layered dashboard design. The Honda ZR-V could feature a large touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.2-inch digital driver’s display, wireless charging, and dual-zone climate control.

Honda’s latest strong-hybrid system, which is already seen in several global Honda models. Like most strong-hybrid systems, the electric motor and battery pack can drive the SUV in EV mode for short distances, and once the battery charge drops, the system seamlessly switches to the petrol engine. The battery can also recharge itself while the engine is running and provide assistance whenever needed.

The petrol engine is expected to generate around 141 PS and 182 Nm of peak torque, while the electric motor is rated to produce 184 PS and 315 Nm of torque. The combined power and torque output figures are not available at the moment.
